Openwork knot in a silver frame pendant
In 1540, someone painted a knot into a ceiling in Perthshire and walked away. Nearly five hundred years later it is still there. One of the oldest painted ceilings in existence, its lines unbroken, its colour still holding. This pendant carries that same knot, cut open in sterling silver and suspended inside a clean rectangular frame, so the light passes straight through the lines the way it once moved across the ceiling. Proof that what you make can outlast you and still be beautiful.
